Everything people ask before they order.
If your question isn’t here, email us — we answer every message personally.
What exactly is included for $100?
A custom website with home, about, and contact pages — your business name, tagline, services or menu, hours, photos, click-to-call phone, embedded map, and a contact form — plus the privacy, terms, and 404 pages every real site should have. We write all the copy from your intake answers. Plus one available standard-registration domain for the first year, hosting, and an SSL certificate. Premium and aftermarket domains are not included. If we can’t build what you need for one hundred dollars, we’ll say so before you pay.
How long does it take?
Three business days from when we receive your intake and confirm payment. If you need it faster, the rush add-on gets your draft in 24 hours for $50.
What if I don’t like the first draft?
You get one free round of revisions, no questions asked. If after that you still don’t want the site, we refund your $100. We’d rather part on good terms than argue.
What if I already own a domain?
Great — we’ll use it. The price is still $100 (the discount is already built in, since it doesn’t make sense to charge someone more for having their own domain). We’ll walk you through pointing your existing domain at your new site — takes about 10 minutes on your end.
What happens after year one?
To keep your site online, renewal is $50 per year. That covers your domain, hosting, SSL certificate, and up to 30 minutes of small edits — hours changing, prices changing, phone number updated, swapping a couple of photos. Bigger changes get quoted separately at fair rates. If you don’t renew, your site comes down at the end of the year.
Do I own the site?
Yes. It’s your domain, your content, your files. If you ever want to move to another host or hand it off to someone else, we hand over everything with no drama.
Can I sell things online?
Not through this package. If you need a real online store, you’re better off with Shopify or Square Online, and we’ll happily point you there. What we can do is put a big “Order online” or “Book online” button that links to your existing DoorDash, Toast, Square, Calendly, or Booksy page.
How do I pay?
PayPal or Zelle — you pick at the end of the Get Started form. PayPal checkout may also let you pay with a debit or credit card without a PayPal account (PayPal decides eligibility). Choose Zelle and we’ll email you the payment details. You pay after you answer the questions, so we have everything we need to start building.
Do you write the content for me?
Yes — it’s included. The intake form asks the right questions (what you do, who you serve, how you started, what customers ask you most) and we write the words from your answers. Rough notes are fine. You review everything before it goes live, and changes are part of your free revision round.
What if I don’t have any photos?
Not a problem. On the intake form, check the box that says we should use tasteful stock photos matched to your industry. Many small businesses don’t have great photos yet, and this is a perfectly common way to launch.
Do you build sites for adult businesses, cannabis, firearms, or gambling?
We build for a wide range of legitimate small businesses. Some categories have hosting or payment restrictions we can’t work around — email us first if you’re in one of those and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
Can you help me with Google, Yelp, Facebook, or Instagram?
We can point you in the right direction and set up the links from your website to those profiles, but ongoing marketing isn’t part of this package. If you want a specialist, we’ll happily recommend one.
What technology do you use?
Modern, fast, hand-coded web pages — the same kind of stack used by professional developers. Your site isn’t built on Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress, which means no monthly subscription trap and no plugin bloat.
Who runs Get Local Online?
Get Local Online is a service of Scout Theory LLC, an Ohio company. The service is founder-run, and each site is built and reviewed directly rather than passed through a sales agency or template mill.
