Terms of Service
Last updated: . Plain-English terms — no lawyer jargon.
What you’re buying.
For $100 (or the total shown at checkout including any add-ons), we build you a single-page custom website, register you a domain (or point your existing one), and host it for one year, including SSL. You get one round of revisions on the initial draft.
Turnaround.
Standard turnaround is three business days from the time we receive both your intake submission and payment. Rush orders ($50 add-on) deliver within 24 hours. If we can’t meet the turnaround for any reason, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Revisions.
One free round of revisions is included. Additional rounds are billed at a fair rate quoted before work begins. “Revisions” means changes to your existing site — not building new pages or adding features not covered by the original scope.
Refunds.
If you don’t like your draft after one round of revisions, we refund your $100 in full (add-ons for work already performed, like copywriting or logos, are non-refundable). Once your site is live and approved, all sales are final.
Renewal.
Renewal is $50 per year and includes your domain, hosting, SSL, and up to 30 minutes of small edits per year. We send a reminder email at least 30 days before renewal. If you don’t renew, your site is taken offline at the end of your term and your domain is not transferred to us.
Your content.
You retain ownership of your content — photos, copy, logos. By submitting them, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you grant us the right to use them for the purpose of building and hosting your website.
Our work.
You own the final website files. You’re free to move to another host or developer at any time — we’ll hand over your files with no obstruction.
Acceptable use.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service for content that is illegal in the United States, promotes violence, defames real people, infringes copyright, or otherwise violates the terms of our hosting or domain providers.
Uptime and support.
We aim for high uptime but can’t guarantee 100%. If your site goes down due to a hosting issue, we work to restore it as fast as reasonably possible. We are not liable for lost business, sales, or income during any downtime.
Liability.
Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes.
We may update these terms. Any material change will be posted here with a new date, and active customers will be emailed.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Get Local Online is domiciled. Any disputes will be handled in that jurisdiction.
